                                                                                         Common Plantain  

Description. Common plantain has lily pad like leaves that are flat that grow on 8 inch stalks that grow close to the ground. Its flowers bloom on stalks that resemble mini corn which grow on 10 inch stalks that grow upward.

Medical. The fresh leaves bring relief to miner cuts and stings and stops bleeding. While an infusion or fresh juice can be used to treat coughs, sore throat and relives irritated stomach.

Rang. Common plantain is found all over America and Canada but is native to Europe.

Habitat. This plant can be found anywhere and is considered a weed all over.

                                                                                     Common Horsetail

Description. Common horsetail grows 3 feet tall strait up its a long green hollow stem with brown rings every 5 inches or so. It also has green pine like leaves that grow all over during some parts of the year. When it blooms it has a pine cone like sac at the top.

Medical. An infusion help heal sores treat kidney stones stop internal bleeding suppress coughs and helps with arthritis.

Range. This grows crazy over all America and Canada.

Habitat. Most commonly found in moist cool shady areas and alone rivers and lakes.

                                                                                              Polly Pody 
Description. Poll pody is the most common fern in the Americas. It grows in patches and has big green leaves under the leaves or little pockets of seeds. The roots are thick and long with little runner roots coming out.

Medical. Chopped up leaves can be eaten this will help with catarrh, coughs, respiratory problems, and can kill parasites

Range. Throughout America and Canada.

Habitat. Near water ways and in moist cool shady areas.
